This Privacy Policy explains what information Simple Daily Planner collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We are based in Bengaluru, India.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
- Account information — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier. We never receive your Google password.
- Planner content — the tasks, times, priorities, “for tomorrow” items, reminders, recurring rules and notes you enter.
- Preferences — theme pack, dark mode, carry-over setting, reminder and quiet-hours settings, agenda/list view.
- Technical information — basic, non-identifying diagnostic data such as error reports and connection status needed to keep the App working.
We do not collect payment details, location data, contacts or biometric data.
3. How we use your information
- To show and save your daily plan and preferences.
- To sign you in and keep your session secure.
- To sync your plan across the devices where you are signed in.
- To send the push and email reminders you have enabled, within your quiet hours.
- To fix bugs, prevent abuse and improve reliability.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your planner content for advertising.
4. Legal bases (GDPR/DPDP)
We process your data to perform the service you requested (contract), where you have given consent (for example reminders and non-essential cookies), and for our legitimate interest in keeping the App secure and functional. Where Indian law applies, we process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
5. Where your data is stored
Your plan is stored locally on your device first. When you are signed in, an encrypted copy is stored with our managed database and hosting providers so it can be synced to your other devices. Servers may be located outside India; appropriate safeguards are applied by those providers.
6. Sharing with third parties
We share data only with service providers who help us run the App:
- Google — sign-in and identity verification.
- Hosting and database providers — storage and cross-device sync.
- Email delivery provider — reminder and account emails.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users or the security of the service.
7. Retention
We keep your planner data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your synced data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Data stored only on your device is removed when you clear the app data or sign out and clear browser storage.
8. Security
We use HTTPS in transit, signed session tokens, access-controlled databases and least-privilege server functions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
- Access a copy of your data (also available instantly via the in-app export).
- Correct or update your information.
- Delete your account and synced data.
- Withdraw consent for reminders or non-essential cookies at any time.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with your regulator.

10. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be highlighted in the App.
